Modern Vietnamese cuisine served on University Avenue in Palo Alto. Established in 2002 by two sisters. Functions as a rotating art gallery for contemporary Vietnamese fine artworks. The menu centers on Vietnamese food but explores the influences and flavors of other Asian cuisines. Dishes include shaking beef, lemongrass sea bass, seared miso duck, tiger shrimp with garlic noodles, yellow chicken curry with fried garlic rice, taro root rolls, inari pocket trio, jackfruit rendang, and basil tofu.
Dishes are presented artistically, matching the restaurant's aesthetic.
The family-style menu allows for shared dining experiences. But Tamarine is suitable for various dining arrangements, including groups, pairs, or solo diners at the bar. A private function room accommodates 30-40 people.
