Premium Dinner Spots in Berlin
1. Cevicheria, Berlin
Nice little spot for a daily changing assortment of fresh ceviche and pisco sours. Dresdener Strasse is a hidden gem in Kreuzberg with plentiful after dinner drink spots to visit as well (Würgeengel, Ottorink Weinbar, Trödler).
2. Torbar, Berlin
Steak, caviar, oysters, cigars. A relative newcomer to Mitte, Torbar has quickly turned into a Torstraße scene with prices to match. Plentiful outdoor seating at this French corner haunt.
3. Cecconi's Berlin, Berlin
Fresh Italian food in a trendy space on the ground floor of the Soho House. Specialties: Vitello Tonnato, Calamari Fritti, Picante Della Casa, and Cotoletta. A scene to be taken in with an Espresso Martini.
4. Lokal, Berlin
About as farm to table a feel of a restaurant as you can find. Has a bit of that Mitte bourgeois feel to it, but in the summer sitting outside on Linienstraße with some fresh dressed up ingredients and a drink in hand is hard to beat.
5. Prince, Berlin
Berlin likes Asian fusion? It's not a great thing because it's really hard to do right. Prince does a good job though. Alluring vibe with excellent cocktails makes for a solid date spot.
6. Kimchi Princess, Berlin
Kreuzberg Korean BBQ restaurant, with wooden tables and bench seating, offering dishes to be shared alongside soju.
7. Ora, Berlin
Amazing location and food to match. Ora is an old apothecary that's been revitalized in a way that preserves it's classic charm ✨, but now with walls full of liquor 🍾 instead of medicine. Can't miss with anything on the menu ⭐️.
8. Maru, Berlin
A bit of an under-the-radar Korean spot compared to many of the mainstays, but Maru is a nice alternative. Excellent kimchi, wonderful bibimbap, and many vegetarian options. You might miss the k-bbq though.
9. heimlichTreu, Berlin
Berlin is already a green city, but this bar/restaurant/beer garden is an oasis in the hinterhof of an altbau that is so nice it almost hurts. Great food and amazing drinks.
10. Crackers, Berlin
Initially founded as a club, this easy-to-miss space now does food, drinks, and music all at once. If you're there just for drinks, the cocktails 🍸 are excellent. Trendy location, where the later the night goes, the more lively it gets.
11. Enzo Sushi Bar, Berlin
Landlocked Berlin doesn't seem like it should be a sushi haven, yet somehow new spots serving immensely high quality fish worth trying keep popping up. Enzo is definitely one of them. Food is impeccable. Setting has a sultry vibe.
12. Katz Orange, Berlin
It's been years yet somehow Katz Orange is still hyped as if they were a new restaurant? Comes with both positives and negatives. Food is excellent though a bit on the pricey side. Beautiful location, professional staff, solid drinks.
13. Barra, Berlin
Cozy restaurant with food that could be worth a Michelin Star. Small plates and healthy whole ingredients with wonderful seafood. Prices aren't too bad and the natural wine is excellent.
14. Frieda, Berlin
Cozy all day contemporary hangout spot that features handcrafted bread, market-driven plates, and an extensive wine list.
15. Osmans Töchter, Berlin
Excellent Turkish style tapas in a cute setting. Very Instagrammable but the food is also absolutely excellent and they've gone out of their way to create a modern, light menu. Great cocktails as well. Good to make a reservation ahead.
16. Long March Canteen, Berlin
Creative interpretations of traditional Cantonese dishes offered in both pre-fix and à la carte. Low-lit, sultry interior in industrial-chic setting that's equally suits dates and bigger groups.
17. 893 Ryōtei, Berlin
Serving some of the freshest fish available in Berlin, 893 blends Peruvian and Japanese cuisines to create what is probably Germany's best competitor to Nobu. Unassuming and graffiti clad exterior contrasts with dark and swanky interior.
18. Beuster Bar, Berlin
A bar that specializes in... food? Come here on a summer night and sit outside for a nice little 3-for-1: great food, good cocktails, and fun people-watching on Weserstraße. Long wait sometimes - grab a späti beer across the street.
19. Golden Phoenix, Berlin
French-Chinese 🇫🇷🇨🇳 dishes and a sensational 4-course prix fixe menu. Delicious food and a menu that's just a little bit spicy.
20. Nauta, Berlin
Prenzlauer Berg's go-to Peruvian spot... with the price to match. The food is good and it's presented beautifully, but you'll feel like you were out in NYC instead of in Berlin. Nice ambiance and great bartender.
21. Night Kitchen, Berlin
Tucked into a cute little brick building in the Heckmann Höfe, Night Kitchen is easy to miss but wonderful if you can find it. Would recommend going with the pre-fix menu/wine pairing, as the staff is super friendly and go above and beyond.
22. Pantry, Berlin
Hip, upscale, Manhattan-esque Mitte establishment. Sultry feel with the cuisine (focused on steak and seafood) to match.
23. Otto, Berlin
Seasonal small plates and natural wines are served in an intimate venue with a leafy terrace. The menu features locally sourced ingredients, including great for sharing dishes like smoked brook trout and koji butter.
